Music and AMEB certificates for several musical instruments. She almost spent five years teaching piano, music theories and classical voice and still counting. Kristy is also a group music teacher. She was born and raised in rural North Queensland and gained her educational backgrounds from the prestigious Conservatorium of Music being a Bachelor of Music. She transferred to New Zealand and pursued her masters in music at Auckland upon taking up Musicology. When it comes to the numbers of students to be taught, Kristy is still competitive both on a private or class-sized capacity, which normally, ranges from five years to adult. Her highest Music Certificate levels are Pianoforte at grade Eight with high distinction at Australian Music Examinations Board, Classical Voice at grade Five, also has high distinction at the same board and Music Theory at grade five with credit and still at the same stated board. Her teaching experiences includes six months with fine art drawing practices and techniques at Uxbridge Creative Centre, Aukland NZ, workshops (2011) with Fine art creative workshop for teen and adults at Uxbridge Creative Centre, Auckland NZ, two years with piano, voice, violin and music theory at David House School of Music Auckland, NZ, two years with keyboard, music theory and music appreciation at Howick School of Music, Aukland, NZ, and five years with piano, voice and music theory at Private tuition at New Zealand.

One of the good highlights of Kristy’s teaching career is her accumulation of a teaching position at Howick School of Music which is one of the NZ’s top performing music schools for primary and high school aged students. She taught very professionally as she nurtures environment where students can be motivated to develop a real love and acceptance for music. She provides thorough and enjoyable lessons that help students appreciate the virtues of having a good technique and playing instruments at a high standard. She executes her teaching by executing fun games and activities and providing her students with an environment and a genuine interest in the student as an individual. Through her experience and inclination to the field of music, she had already learned number of methods for teaching kids with dyslexia and other similar learning difficulties.

Kristy let her students to sit in a piano examination from Preliminary level to Grade Eight through the AMEB, trinity Guildhall and ABRSM music boards.
